English School in Kinyerezi

A Village Church's Challenge

Warm Hearts, Language Barriers

Situated about 50 minutes’ drive outside of Dar Es Salaam. This village quickly caught our attention with its lively church services and friendly hospitality.

Unfortunately, a majority of the congregants don’t speak any English at all, which was the cause for concern as in this church many members were young kids and babies.

New School Aims to Boost English Literacy in Tanzania

Bridging the Gap

Whilst Google will show 15% of the Tanzanian population have some knowledge of English. The reality seemed too far and wide in-between.

We founded the English School with the hopes to get English-speaking volunteer teachers out there on a Saturday to teach a class of over 20 children ranging between the ages of 4 and 15.

Although this age gap difference is big for time being there are facilitators who can assist with the small ones. Natalia will host you and make sure your well settled in before your first class.

She also has two beautiful young girls who also attend the school.

International Volunteers Uplift Tanzanian Youth Through English Education

Join the Vision

In time the vision is to create an international volunteer program where visitors can work, learn and grow together with our dedicated English school.

Your time is highly valuable as most of these young children have real development issues. Some older ones couldn’t build a puzzle or understand very basic English sentence structuring.
