LION LEGACY DOLLAR A DAY PARTNERSHIP

Empower a Child, Transform a Family

Join Our Unique Sponsorship Journey

The idea is to create accountability towards one child, which in turn impacts the entire family.

We have all the children laid out by photograph. Including name, age, if their parents are together and in which manner (who they live with). And their likes and interests. You choose whom you’d like to walk a path with.

So, whether they are in Same (Moshe, Kilimanjaro). Or closer to Dar es salaam in the outlaying village of Kinyerezi. You choose how you’d like to participate. As once, you start paying as the heading suggests, a dollar a day, you are expected to come visit that child within the space of the next 365 days.

See in my personal capacity, and starting off in Peru doing foundational work with communities. From my own experience, I have learned that it’s not even a walk in the park getting your own friends and family over to these countries after a few years of them contributing and helping out. People commit and then life happens. I get it.
How much more complete strangers who have a heart for volunteering?

Beyond Donations

Your Time and Skills Can Forge Lasting Change

So the fact is this, friend, we need your time more than anything else. (That which you have the very least of.) And accountability is the only way we know how to manage an undertaking such as this.
It’s easy to pay a dollar a day for most people. It’s not so easy to pay homage and build a relationship with an estranged group of people halfway around the world from you. That takes determination, persistence and authenticity!
We need your professional and personal skills and habits to come influence the Tanzanian and Peruvian people in a unique and sustainable manner.
Maybe as an engineer you will enjoy building a water-tank for our labor ward clinic in Same, or perhaps design a new bridge for kids to be able to cross a flooded river during the rainy season.
Or you’re a widow who wants to assist in teaching kids and adults English. We need what you have to offer. And we will promise you’ll walk away having built up a family this side that lasts a life-time.
Regardless the stage of life you’re in, the possibilities to help out are endless.

Transform a Life

A Dollar a Day and a Journey of Commitment

So you pay a dollar a day until the child reaches 18. And you consider joining one of our many ‘opening weeks’. Where at least one visit is expected until the child becomes an adult.

Where you get to meet the community, leadership and other volunteers too. But if you do come when there’s no opening and introduction session, don’t worry about that! You can fall in anytime.

The opening weeks are great because you get to mingle with other volunteers and find out what’s on the itinerary during their stay here, or just enjoy the cultural diversity and hospitality. How you’d like to plan your itinerary during your stay with us is completely up to you!

We do assist with arranging the accommodation close to the area you’ll be volunteering in. (you are responsible for any and all accounts whilst here.)

Also note for the most part applications are accepted due to reviewing your professional experience and capacity.

That means we can also be assured all volunteers uphold a high moral and ethical standard during their visits.

We are very excited to be welcoming you soon! I can vouch that most volunteers are repeat timers and once you leave from your visit here the planning to come back and continue with your heart’s aspirations has already started. That is our promise to you.

A child’s life is about to be changed forever.

Karibu Sana and Asante Sana.
(Welcome here and thank you very much.)
